Empowered 2 Inspire was birth from strenuous labor of self discovery, heartache, loss and pain.
Until receiving the revelation of "who" I am, and "whose"I am, I lived as a lesbian. Not if that was enough, I also dealt with gender confusion. My parents accepted me and life was lovely. At least I thought it was.
One day as I was lying across the bed at my girlfriends house, I heard a still small voice say "you are the vessel". I immediately knew it was the voice of God. I continued to be still & listened as He directed me to 2nd Timothy 2:20-22 (KJV)
20. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
During my journey, I learned that I was not only conquering a sin nature, but I was dealing with a stronghold. Sin is something you need forgiveness for. A stronghold is something you need freedom from. A stronghold barricades your mind into darkness with absolutely no entrance of Light. When you accept Jesus into your life, you are immediately reconciled and set free from every curse, sin and thought that exalts itself above God.
Deliverance is immediate. However, there is still much inner healing needed to rid the residue of a toxic life. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV) says "Therefore, If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" I am set free, however I do understand the struggle and the deception. It is not possible without first, accepting Jesus as your Lord & Savior, transformation of the mind, dying daily to your flesh, and seeking the Kingdom of God to allow the Light to illuminate your heart. Dictionary.com defines seeking as "to go in search" or "quest of". I searched the Word. The Word inspired me to see myself as God sees me.
Empowered 2 Inspire is not an Ex-homosexual ministry. Empowered2Inspire believes in restoration for everyone; rather it be pornography, drugs, discouragement, depression or any other stronghold that you are in bondage to. This will probably blow religious folks minds, but I love the gay population. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 9:19 (MSG) "Even though I am free of the demands and expectations of everyone, I have voluntarily become a servant to any and all in order to reach a wide range of people.
